Teluk Asmara Beach is indeed not a foreign destination for Malang residents. The beach, which opened in 2017, is located in Sitiarjo Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan District, Malang Regency, East Java. Only by traveling for 2.5 hours or 75 km from Malang city center, tourists can already enjoy the beauty of this beach. This beach is called Teluk Asmara because of the coral rocks that resemble a heart when viewed from above.

When you get to the beach, you'll notice the presence of small hills that surround it. The hills are what make this beach like in Raja Ampat, West Papua. In addition, this beach also has a wide expanse of white sand and is dominated by green minus trees that spoil the eyes. To get to the stretch of white sand, you have to go down dozens of stairs first. Although it is a little tiring when descending the stairs, the fatigue will be paid off when you enjoy the stunning scenery of Teluk Asmara Beach. 

Route of Teluk Asmara beach

The first route is through Turen. After passing through central Malang City, you will be directed to Turen. After that, turn south until you reach the Sumbermanjing Wetan area. You can continue until the T-junction of Sendang Biru beach. Observe the directions until you reach Clungup beach, and then Teluk Asmara beach will be found west of Clungup beach.

The second route is through Kepanjen. From central Malang City, you can head towards Kepanjen, then continue the journey towards Pagak District to Bantur District area. From Bantur Subdistrict, the journey can be continued towards Balekambang Beach until you reach the intersection. From this intersection, you just have to turn left and follow the available road signs.

Activities to Try When Visiting Teluk Asmara Beach

1. Swimming and water play

Teluk Asmara Beach has a calm sea current because it is blocked by small islands surrounding the sea, so it is safe enough to swim or just play water on the beach. 

2. Camping

If you want to stay longer to see the beauty of Teluk Asmara Beach, you can set up a tent under the pine trees with white sand. By camping, you can also enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

3. Photo Hunting

Photo hunting is the next activity you can do. Teluk Asmara beach offers stunning sea views, and small islands such as Raja Ampat, where the sun rises and sets which is suitable as a photo object.

4. Trying Exciting Rides

To enter this beach, each person will be charged an entrance ticket fee of IDR 15,000. In addition, you also have to pay parking fees. For two-wheeled vehicles, it is IDR 10,000, while for four-wheeled vehicles, it is IDR 15,000.

Teluk Asmara Beach is open 24 hours a day, allowing you to visit at any time, even at night. The beach is well-lit, so you don't need to worry about visiting after dark.

In addition, during the rainy season, it is not recommended to play water because the waves will be very high. Therefore, you can visit during the dry season from March-September.
